Design templates for Ethiopian businesses. Keep 70% of every sale.
Digital Ethiopia lets any business put a website online in minutes by picking a template. Designers build those templates, list them in the marketplace, and earn each time a business uses one.
How it works
- Step 1
Create a designer account
Sign up free and choose “I’m a designer”. You get a studio profile and a template workspace.
- Step 2
Build a template
A template is a single .tsx file. Use the freeform canvas editor or upload your own file, and preview it with real business data before you submit.
- Step 3
Pass review
Each template goes through automated safety checks and an admin review before it appears in the marketplace. Templates run in a sandbox, so a template can’t reach a business’s data or the wider site.
- Step 4
Get paid when it sells
A business buys a template once to use on its site. You keep 70% of the price and the platform keeps 30%. Your sales and earnings are in your dashboard.
Questions
- Can I upload my own template?
- Yes. Designers upload a template as one .tsx file, which is checked automatically and then reviewed by an admin before it is listed in the marketplace.
- How much do designers earn?
- A designer keeps 70% of each template sale. The platform keeps 30%.
- Can a business upload its own design instead?
- Yes. A business with an active paid period can upload its own .tsx file to use as its site, without going through the marketplace.
- Do I need to hire a developer to use a template?
- No. Businesses pick a template, edit the text and photos on the page, and publish. Hosting and the site address are included.
- Is there a separate account for designers?
- Yes. Designer accounts have their own dashboard for templates, sales and earnings. There are also sales-partner accounts for people who bring businesses onto the platform.
